Visitors welcome at all events
About field trips. We go rain or shine, so proper dress and footwear are essential.
Bring food and water on trips. Participation is free (other than contribution to carpool driver) and is at your own risk. Everyone (or their guardian) will need to sign a release waiver before leaving on trips and clean their boots or shoes to prevent spread of nonnative seeds.
Trips leave promptly at stated times. Dogs are not allowed on field trips.


May 24 Sunday 8 a.m. Native Grass Identification Workshop and Field Trip - .Learn to identify eight native grasses on a private restoration site southeast of Salem. Willamette Chapter member and popular teacher Karl Anderson will give the workshop, which will include handouts as well as viewing and identification of upland prairie wildflowers. Meet at Blaine St. parking lot 8;00AM. * Or meet in Salem at 8:45 a.m.; call for details. Half-day trip. Information: Robert, 503-835-1042.

*  Blaine St. parking lot is at the corner of Linfield Avenue and Blaine Street, adjacent to the Linfield College campus. To  reach the corner, take Highway 99W in south in McMinnville and turn east at Jakes Deli onto LInfield Avenue.


Annual membership meeting, potluck and propagation demonstration;
Gahr Farm
June 13, Saturday, noon - 4 pm
Join Cheahmill chapter members for food, fellowship and introduction of new officers. Ted and Harriet Gahr will show how they divide the Sidalcea nelsonii, which grows on their property. The Checkermallow is in bloom from mid-June to July, so it will be a good time to go for a walk. For map to the farm www.gahrfarm.com
